Status Update 20.12

Probably the last status update for this year.

What’s NOT working:
- RIL crashes on providers with NITZ, makes phone unusable (need new leak)
- button backlights (samsung has to fix it, they’ve messed it up)
- low haptic feedback (need kernel sources to fix it)
- sensors aren’t working very good (need kernel sources)
- video recording (need new leak)
- some additonal video codecs

There are probably a few little things more, but nothing which kills your cats.
We could have fixed most of the stuff if we would have kernel sources.

As long as RIL isn’t fixed, we’ll not release this baby. The Phone is fully unusable without the ability to do phone calls or use the data connection. It can only be used as Gameboy, but not as Smartphone or mobile phone.
If there will be another leak this year, which makes RIL usable, then we’ll release it.

Pray for a new leak.

Was ist dieses RIL eigentlich?

Das steht für Radio Interface Layer, und mit diesem Programm kommunizert das Handy mit den Empfangsstationen der Mobilanbieter
Wenn Du so willst isses beim Flashen mit z.B. einer 3 teiligen FW via Odin die Modem.tar....die Modem-Software
solange es Probleme damit gibt, ist Telefonie und 2G bzw. 3G Internet nicht möglich

wenn man positiv denkt ist schon fast alles gemacht nur der ril muss kompatibel gemacht werden :)

Ein Freund hat das Nexus S, das ja schon offiziell ICS hat, und er zieht mich die ganze Zeit damit auf, dass ichs noch nicht habe :D

Ich denke, dass wird noch bis anfang nächstes jahr dauern. tja aber ICS looks really nice on the s2! Kommt schon team hacksung, ich will es auch bald haben.

es ist dieses CM9 Leak , welches ich in einem Post weiter oben erwähnt habe, ABSOFORT für jeden erhältlich !!!!

ps: natürlich muss dieses Leak gerade dann auftauchen wenn ich in der Schihütte bei einigen Bierchen sitze... habe deswegen schnell für die Anleitung im ersten Post einen Coputer von einen unbedarften Touristen konfisziert *PROST*
