After looking at all the current ROMs available I realized there is a big gap currently as you can either go all the way Pure CM9 or no where close to it at all. So I drew inspiration from the missing segment in all the current ROMs available out there.

OTA Updating had been added and all patches and addons will be distributed in this way going forward.


[Patch]Portal Rom 2.0b

Navigation Pull down Toggles added and working as per Portal Theme
QuickPanel Settings (app) added to manipulate all the Toggles
CRT Off
Transparent Dailer, Contacts and MMS as per Portal theme
MTP Drivers added so you don't have to use mass storage anymore
Lidroid Name fix - It states Portal Rom now (Thanks wanam)

No Wipe Rom (For a change BUT I still recommend full wipe 1st)

Safe there is no danger in bricking phone with this LPM Rom

Jkay Support will be added as soon as there is a compatible version
S-Voice Removed and can be installed separately if you need it.
Call Recording will be added with a update
Phone, MMS and Contacts Theme will be applied with a future update

Not Working at the moment
USB connect don't work due to outdated drivers from Samsung but works in CWM if you need to use the USB connect. Cannot test all options as it might just be related to Win7 64-Bit as well. Would need some feedback from all of you.

-New Task bar Icons and overall Theme update
-Multi CSC has been added
-Framework updated and tweaked slightly
-TouchWizUX updated to 1.5.1
-Includes latest Siyah Kernel 3.3.2+
-S-Voice config changed to use default install language

-Please update to the latest Siyah Kernel -> Siyah 3.3.1
The released Kernel with 1.3 version 3.2.8 was giving extremely poor battery life.

-Complete Status Bar transparent - Fixed Jkay Brightness bar to fit in with the rest of the Drop down
-Contacts has been updated to fit with the theme
-MMS and Phone has been updated to fit with the theme

-Remove unnecessary apps to make a Slimed version as well.

Installation Instructions:

BITTE VORHER EINEN FULLWIPE MACHEN

1.-Telefon rooten und CWM installieren - Root mit CF-Root Kernel
2.-Rom auf die SD Karte kopieren und in den CWM booten
3.-Mache ein kompletten Reset (Factory, Dalvik Cache, Cache wipen), dann installiere die Rom
4.-Danach lasse das Telefon komplett booten, der erste Start kann bis zu 5 Minuten dauern....

Schritt 1 kann übersprungen werden wenn CWM vorhanden ist....

Portal Rom 1.2<-Klick

-Made the notification bar Transparent with a dark style as with V1.1
-Removed a lot of apps that was not being used to make it semi Slim'd down. ( Damn you S-Voice for being 90mb :P )
-Default Alarm clock has been put back

The Dandelion Live wallpaper can be downloaded, copied to your SD card and you can just click it and install it if you want it - From Here

Portal Rom 1.1<-Klick

-Everything listed in Version 1.0
-Removed some Apps that can be installed from the Play Store
-Settings got new Glow icons to match the rest of the Rom
-Full support for JKay Deluxe Edition with his add-on application
-S-Voice was included as a default feature including wake up features and Dock features
-Changed the Modem to XXLPS as it obtains a Wifi lock quicker and in general seem more stable than the new XXLPX.
-3G and Wifi Stability resolved. It was related to the latest modem driver.
-Rom got a Performance boost by removing start-up scripts that was running in the background. This is not affecting functionality but you should see better battery and overall performance - Let me know please if it made a difference
-TW4 has been updated and it should respond a little bit smoother than before.

Werde es jetzt mal flashen. Testbericht folgt.....

Erster Eindruck:

-Installation geht schnell
-Sehr schöne Bootanimation, gut die brauch man nicht....
-Nur der S3 Launcher vorhanden, kein altenativer zu Auswahl, schade....
-Nicht so bunt wie manche anderen Rom´s, sehr am Stockrom gehalten....
-S-Voice beim Start auf Italienisch, aber nach Umstellung auf Deutsch funktioniert es tadellos. Versteht bis jetzt alles....
-JKay muss nachinstalliert werden....Finde es schade das man das jetzt kaufen muss, habe es aber getan....
-WLAN funktioniert tadellos...
-keine Maps vorinstalliert, im Anhang zum Download....
-Akkuverbrauch bisher Top....Kann man nicht anders ausdrücken.
-leider ist der dunkle Hintergrund nicht dabei...

Das Problem an diesen Updates ist eigentlich, dass es nur ein anderer Kernel ist. Deshalb nehme ich ihn nicht auf. Besser wäre wenn er ein großes Update zur Rom bringt, eine andere Basis und noch andere Features. So bleibt es ja beim alten. Schade.

Vielleicht ist der Entwickler so sehr zufrieden mit seiner Rom :) das er keine Notwendigkeit sieht die Rom auf zu peppen bzw auf eine neuere Basis zu wechseln.

Zwar nur ein Kernel Update aber besser als gar keins :)

Ist ja richtig, aber wenn er die Basis der Rom nicht ändert/verbessert, dann werden wohl nur wenige bei der Rom bleiben. Einen Kernel wechseln die meisten ja auch ohne diesen Hinweis...

Laut XDA müsste bald ein Update kommen. Hoffe er meint nicht wieder ein Kernel Update.

Lassen wir uns mal Überraschen :)
