Motorola Defy Mini

Hi,

kurz und knapp, das Motorola Mini meiner Freundin geht verflucht langsam, es ist einfach ab Werk zu voll gestopft. Jetzt wollen wir ein Custom ROM drauf machen, was ist das Beste und was braucht man dazu alles? Wie ist der Cyanogenmod 10?

Leider ist das Defy mini kein Gerät mit großer Community.

Deshalb ist mir auch kein Custom Rom hierfür bekannt; auch CM10 unterstützt das Gerät m.W. nicht.

Das Gerät ist nunmal kein High End- sondern eher ein Einstiegs-Gerät.

Ich kann Dir leider wenig Hoffnung machen....

das sinnvollste ist erstmal rooten und dann mit titanium backup nicht genutzte apps deinstallieren und vlt den prozessor n bissl hochtakten

Dann solltest Du aber auch mitteilen, wie man das Defy Mini rootet! Oder zumindest eine Quelle angeben, wo man diese Information/Anleitung erhält.

Ansonsten bringt dem User das leider nicht viel.

Oh das würde schon reichen, dieses Facebook ist so fest verankert und nimmt so viel Platz weg, das ganze Unnötige muss runter. Hast Du vielleicht eine Anleitung wie man das Gerät rootet und wie funktioniert das mit Titanium Backup? Muss man das kaufen? EDIT: Das mit der Anleitung hat sich überschnitten mit mlerch

So, ich hab was gefunden:

Es ist aber oft die Rede davon, dass man das Defy Mini und das normale Defy dazu braucht, warum? Was ist SuperOneClick und RSDLite? Beides hab ich mir runtergeladen.

It looks that guy has rooted the Defy Mini

here is the explanation, but nobody done it except the guy from video:

1- Put the defy in fastboot mode (hold down vol-up + vol-dwn togheter and then press power button. Stay on fastboot. (DON'T CONECT THE DEFY MINI TO PC YET)

2- Open and Run superoneclick 2.1 click Root boton. SuperOneClick show this Message start adb deamon I don't remember what next. Superoneclick is waiting for device

3- On the defy, pass to recovery and now CONECT de DEFY MINI

4- Just wait a couple of seconds and now you are root.

I have to thanks to people behind of superoneclick.

This is not a commercial, but I have to install stericson.busybox.apk , this install busy box in /system/xbin, don't ask why, just work well after that.

The Galery in thumbnails show an icon with a lock, but when you choose it, you can see the picture but not slide to next or previous.

The specs of my phone are.

I tried it with no success. Also, there is another explanation from the author:

I thought about everything I did to put "root" in my mini defy. Review process a few times in my mind and I remembered that he was "flashando" a defy normal.

if you want to try this do it. i leave a video of my mini defy with root “rooteado"

Motorola defy mini (xt320)

steps:

Open RSDLite and connect the the defy normal (MB525) in flash mode.(vol+ and power it shows bootloader)

expect RSDLite recognize the phone and do nothing with it.

Open SuperOneClick.

connect the mini defy (XT320) to another USB port.

debug mode must be on (i have the three options on)

click on root.

I hope work.

I have no regular Motorola Defy, I did not try this solution.

SuperOneClick ist eine Software mit der man auf manchen Android-Geräten Root-Rechte erlangen kann.

Nicht alle Geräte und nicht alle Android-Versionen werden unterstützt.

Das Defy Mini ist noch recht neu und eben kein Gerät mit großer Community. Ob Du die dort beschriebenen Experimente riskierst musst Du alleine entscheiden.

Es ist nun mal so, dass ich aus einem Polo keinen Porsche machen kann....

Hier noch ein einzelner Beitrag von einem User:

Ok this rooting may take a little while. But at least you can choose your sdcard as the default place to install the new apps. What you need to do is have adb and run the commands

adb shell

pm setInstallLocation 2

2 is the sdcard. Once you have this, with app2sd from market (There are so many of them but I got best results with the one from Infolife) you can move some apps you have already installed to sdcard. which was not possible with manage apps in settings before. Like for example you can move YouTube to sdcard.

Let's hope for the best for root.

At least this gives us some time while waiting for root.
