TyphooN CyanogenMod 7

With the help of crawlingcity and rafpigna on IRC, I bring you my CyanogenMod 7 ROM flashable by CWM.

Currently A 150MB system partition and 5MB cache partition is required. Any system partition over 150MB will work, but will leave less NAND space for /data/ (which means less room for internally installed applications). The system partition size of this ROM used to be 125MB, but it has grown in size.

I plan to update this to the latest nightly frequently and keep up with the latest fixes. The purpose of this build is to port the latest stock CyanogenMod 7 Desire (bravo) base to HD2 with the minimal amount of changes required with no custom apps. Keep in mind that this is my personal build and I am sharing it with you.

-Adjustable CPU voltage via /system/etc/init.d/98cpu_voltage This can help overclocking stability and battery usage.

Known issues:

-Auto backlight does work but custom auto backlight levels do not. This started occurring once LED Notifications began to work. They are both tied to the lights library but it will remain this way until a new lights library is available. I feel that this is the best middle ground because to me LED notifications are essential.

FAQ:

-Will a DFT flashable version be released? I feel that CWM is a superior way to flashing and for data backup/recovery. I never plan to release a DFT flashable version.

-Will you include navigon fix (libmedia.so). Currently this keeps CM7 based builds from booting.

-Why does the camcorder force close? Make sure you have the back camera selected.. It closes with the front camera selected (which this phone does not have).

-I have Blurry MMS: Set UserAgent to "NexusOne" in messaging.

-Where can I change MMS Max Size? This can be adjusted if you use handcent messaging, not within the stock messaging app.

-If you are getting an issue that nobody else seems to be having.. Check the md5sum of the file you downloaded, if it is not the same as posted re-download the .zip file and transfer it to your SD card again. File transfer corruption does happen and this is most likely the cause.

-Can I upgrade to a newer version without loosing my data/settings? Yes. Just make sure you back it up with CWM just in case something goes wrong. I have used the same data since before I released v1.0 on XDA. There should be no problem with keeping your data. But don't expect to come from another ROM and keep your data without issues.

-How can I adjust CPU voltage? Edit the user editable script in /system/etc/init.d/98cpu_voltage to change voltage values for the CPU. Values between 800-1350 are accepted for each CPU clock speed but don't expect 800 to be stable at 1190mhz. This script is executed upon startup. You can run it manually via adb by typing sh /system/etc/init.d/98cpu_voltage to see effects before a reboot. I would suggest only putting a stable script in this location, and having "test" scripts on your sdcard to try before replacing the one that is run on bootup.

-I get NAND Kernel open failed upon booting after flashing. You have picked the wrong version of the ROM for your bootloader. Make sure you pick the cLK version for cLK and MAGLDR for MAGLDR.

Voltage control script Information:

As you can see in my script, I adjusted to the lowest possible value that I found stable for my phone on each frequency. I feel that is the best way, however.. if you want a quick and easy way, you can also do it this way:

incrementing/decrementing all levels by a specified amount* (mV):

echo '-25' > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/vdd_levels

echo '+25' > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/vdd_levels

All you would have to do is delete everything in the current script, and just have + or - the value you would like.. it would apply it universally. To see current levels type cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/vdd_levels . All of these commands can be done via adb shell, gscript lite, or editing the init.d script I have provided. Make sure that you use a unix compatible text editor:

Super, danke erstmal für den Tipp. Hab jetzt nur noch das Problem das ich lediglich nen internen Speicher von 6 MB habe. Habe die zip Datei über cwm 1.3 installiert. 8 GB Speicherkarte vorher partitioniert in 1024 MB ext 3 und 6 GB fat32. Hab ich irgendwas falsch gemacht?

wenn app2sd richtig installiert ist siehst du das entweder bei titanium backup oder lade dir quick system info aus market, da siehste es auch!!

Frage: dieses Rom hat ja im "Katalog" (so heist dieSeite wohl, wo ich die ganzen Apps starten kann) 5 Icons in einer Reihe. Daher sind die Namen teilweise abgeschnitten. Ist es möglich auch nur 4 Icon in der Reihe zu haben?

das ist ne einstellung deines launchers. glaube hier ist der awd launcher schon eingekocht. kann dir nur sagen wie es bei mir geht, hab den GO Laucher EX. wenn du auf deiner startseite bist, drückste die windoof taste und gehst auf einstellungen, dann auf app-depot. da kannste bei raster wählen ob 4x4 oder 5x5!!! ist bei deinem sicherlich ähnlich.

aber auf den bild sieht man eine theme die 4 button unten hat und vorallen diese große Uhr (letzte bild) wie kann ich mir die einstellen ?

die 5 buttons unten sind vom launcher. awd oder anderer mit nem bestimmten theme was du fir aber ohne probleme bei diesem laucher laden kannst. die uhr wird wohl fancy widget sein. gibts im market.

Und zwar ist mein problem das wenn ich Zuhause bin,und per wlan ins Internet möchte,hab ich eine sehr sehr schlechte Leitung.

Was irgentwo nicht verständlich is wenn ich direkt vor meinem Router sitz hab ich vollen Empfang geh ich ein Meter vom Router weg ist sie wieder schlechter.

Wenn ich am Laptop bin ca 5m enfernt hab ich fast Perfekte leitung was mim HTC nicht der fall ist,obwohl es genau so weit weg ist wie der Laptop

Da kann Dir sicherlich geholfen werden, hier wird mit Sicherheit zugemacht.Sorry das ich Dir da nicht helfen kann. Eins kann ich Dir aber sagen, als ich diese Version drauf hatte, habe ich keine Probleme mit WLAN gehabt.

Hallo dieses rom ist echt eine klasse

bis auf die taschenlampe die ist plunder

aber ein problem habe ich leider und zwar wollte ich am pc mir eine raus suchen im android market (PC) und per usb dann das die theme installieren

doch leider findet der mein handy nicht der sagt immer (auf englich das ich mein handy auswählen soll.

ps meine die theme aus aus dem 1 beitrag also für das bulid bestimmt

warum ziehst du es dir nicht ausm market (handy). ist doch der selbe wie aufm pc! und wenn du dein handy per usb an den pc anschließt kommt in der benachrichtigungszeile irgendwas mir usb dubbing oder so, da drückst einfach auf "mit pc verbinden" und schon macht es das auch!

Hallo zusammen,

ersteinmal Danke für diese sehr schon ROM!!

Hat alles wunderbar geklappt mit der Installation (Dank der tollen Anleitung die es hier im Forum gibt).

Bis jetzt geht alles sehr zügig und flüssig. Nur Youtube (aus dem Market installiert) möchte keine Videos abspieln. Ich das er das Video lädt, kann auch mit dem Finger vorspulen, sehe dabei auch "Standbilder" aber er will nicht abspielen.

Hat jemand ein Tipp für mich?

Wenn ich z.b. per Browser auf MyVideo gehe spielt er auch keine Videos ab.

Mein Handy Display geht manchmal nicht an, wenn ich es aus dem Standby holen will! Da hilft nur Akku raus bei 2.5 :-(

habe es mir heute drauf gemacht das neue 2.5.

mdj speicher funz bei mir, zeigt unter titanium backup das a2sd und mit 8xxmb free.

habe mich an die htc sens gewöhnt gibt es da keinen friendstream,favoriten oder einen grossen kalender ?

und was mir sehr gut gefällt ist das man die vol up taste für eine fotoaufnahme benutzen kann

und was mich stört :

facebook benachrichtigung funz nicht..... ;(

doch nun mit diesem ROM kann ich nicht meckern soviele geile einstellungen, es wird immer besser ;-)

eine frage hätte ich da aber, was ich noch nicht herausgefunden habe ist, ob es möglich ist den einzelnen ordner eigene namen zu geben

Ordner erstellen-> Ordner öffnen-> und oben wo dann der Name steht, also "Ordner" drauf tippen und neu benennen
