LG KM900 Arena - Firmware Modifizieren (Fraggers Bastelstube)

ìch bekomme seid Stunden/Tagen/Wochen keine verbindung mit meinem Km900 hin. PCSuite funzt, Wechseldatenträger funzt, jedoch funzt es nicht wenn ich das ks360 oder das kp500 oder das Flashtool nutzen möchte, es kommt immer ein Timeout oder im ks und Kp tool, "For NAND systems an EBl must used(oder so ähnlich)). Hab vorhin alle Treiber neu installiert ändert aber am fehler nur wenig,.

Wenn ich mein Handy ohne Akku und Sim anstecke, erscheint im Hardware Manager nur kurz der Flash Utility Treiber ist das richtig so, nach ca 5s verschwindet er wieder .

oder hat es vielleicht damit was zu tun das ich ne flb Datei von ner Vodafone Fw hab, selbst aber ne O2 fw drauf hab ? und er deshalb meine Datei nicht nimmt?

oder hat jemand die flb datei für die aktuelle O2 FW?

das ichs malmit der ausprobieren könnte?

Kann mir jemand genau die Treiber verlinken welche ich benutzen muss?

ich weiss nich 100%ig obs jetzt geht, aber ich glaube man darf auf garkeinen Fal die IFWD_.. .dll in dem kp500 ordner ersetzen,. !!

die CUST Theme wird fast komplett erstellt dann kommt ein timeout?! woran liegt das denn ?

es ladet bis 70% die datei herunter, im ks und kp tool , wie auch im flashtool,., dann brichts ab mit nem Timeout

Now I've been experimenting the last hours with changing the UA of the Arena in order to see, if we can get better YouTube-Streams and to access for example the Vodafone Live!-Portal and VF Mobile TV...

I tried the following UAs:

1. Default, unbranded (V10G_Thai): "LG-KM900/V100 Obigo/WAP2.0 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1."

YouTube-Quality: Pretty Bad

VF live!: Only Text

VF MobileTV: low/normal quality

2. iPhone: "Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_0 like Mac OS X; de-de) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7A451 Safari/528.16"

YouTube-Quality: no stream possible (link not clickable)

VF live!: Only text

VF MobileTV: low/normal quality

3. Nokia N97: "Mozilla/5.0 (SymbianOS/9.4; U; Series60/5.0 NokiaN97-1/12.2.024; Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1) AppleWebKit/525 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/525

YouTube-Quality: pretty nice, good image and good audio

VF live!: in colors with images, some bars seem no to be rendered correctly, but basically well usable

VF MobileTV: if, then a little better than normal quality

4. Nokia N95_8GB: "Mozilla/5.0 (SymbianOS/9.2; U; Series60/3.1 NokiaN95_8GB/20.0.016; Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1) AppleWebKit/413 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/413"

YouTube-Quality: pretty nice, good image and good audio

VF live!: in colors with images

VF MobileTV: should be high quality (according to VF), but I get error message (not supported or sth. like this)

5. BlackBerry 9500: "BlackBerry9500/4.7.0.78 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/133"

YouTube-Quality: pretty nice, good audio (image seems to be a little bit worse than BB for ex.)

VF live!: in colors with images, looks better structured

VF MobileTV: if, then a little better than normal quality

6. HTC Magic: "Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 1.5; de-de; HTC Magic Build/PLAT-RC33) AppleWebKit/528.5+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.2 Mobile Safari/525.20.1"

YouTube-Quality: pretty nice, good image and good audio

VF live!: in colors with images, kind of small

VF MobileTV: low/normal quality

I think, I'll stick with the BB UA, I liked it best.

EDIT: The file that contains the UA:

CUST\LGAPP\Media\Flex\OPEN\Flex_GB.ini

Look for this:

BRW_SETTINGDB_UA_STRING_I="..................."

BRW_SETTINGDB_UA_STRING_OFFICIAL_I="............."

I changed both of them to the UA, and reintegrated that file into the cust.bin and downloaded it to the phone.

Thanks, I'll read that when I get home and thanks for the congrats. I don't use the KP500, I use that Infineon-Flash-Tool.

I saw in your tutorial (quick look), that you look KP500 for download ... this is not necessary, just use the download-option of the Infineon-Flash-Tool.

I still havent read your tut, but can you tell me exactly how to get the correct values for the amd partitions because i would like to change some things there to but my upload aborts at about 87% for amd oem, so if i try to upload that incomplete file, my phone would crash, havent tried it though.

btw, i am still on the go with the arena.

Your part are complete ;-)

in fact, when you upload file, the flashtool_E2 truncate the empty block, but your file is ok

Tomorrow, I try to dowload the part amd_oem with some modification for testing the download.

If It work, I send you full explanation of this way to work. In this time, It seem to be different in the process to download. I need a little bit of time, but not tonight because if I crash my phone .... the night will be to short ;-))))

Great, i am looking forward to your results, if you succeed, i will try it aswell, if not, i will wait till next week, cant afford to loose another day spending flashing the phone,btw i have now V10o_02 again, but with modified cust:

blackberry UA,full control over internet profiles,APNs, etc.,no default bookmarks,fake 3g profile*.

* this pretends to websites you were on a 3g network even if you only have gsm. This tricks Vodafones check,soo i can always access VF mobiletv page to check for ex. the schedule. But the best thing is: i can stream vf mobiletv via wi-fi, so i connect via gsm, pretend to be on 3g, and then the arena streams via wifi. I guess this could work on SFR aswell as they seem to have vf live! aswell.

I m still on the Arena, too tired to open laptop, so sry for any mistakes.

we cann flash the phone, we must save the real Os folders, or change them and upload them,

amd_bl1 or amd_single oder amd_user or amd_oem_part, this partition must we have ,

or we must open the db ,.
