Langsam kommt die Sache in Schwung und es gibt wieder ein neues Custom Rom. Diesmal eines mit anpassbaren dpi :

Installation:

1- Untick reactivation lock in security settings

2- do a EFS backup

3- check the MD5 of your downloaded X-Note rom zip

4- reboot recovery

5- wipe data (don't do other wipes)

6- install zip and choose the rom in your sd

7- power off after installation (no reboot)

8- If you don't have NJ4 bootloader flash with odin the bootloader downloadable here

9- If you don't have NJ4 modem flash with odin the modem downloadable here

10- reboot system.

11- log into your google account at 640 (stock) dpi for the first time

12- done, have fun

PLEASE LOOK AT THE OTA FOLDER, WE WILL PUT THE UPDATES OR FIXES THERE IF NEEDED

Kurzer Bericht:

Das Rom läuft sehr smooth und gefällt mir besser als das DrKetan-Rom, welches für mich einen etwas zu hohen Akkuverbrauch hatte und dessen Einstellungsmenü optisch in die Hose fällt.

Jedenfalls gibt es im Playstore gegen Entgelt eigene Themes für das X-Note-Rom zum heruntersaugen.

Die große "must-have"-Alternative zur Stock-FW stellt aber auch diese Rom noch nicht dar.

Die Veränderungen der dpi wirken sich optisch negativ auf die Einhandbedienung des Dialers aus und hat somit das selbe Manko, wie die gratis App dpi-changer aus dem Playstore. Wenigstens da hätte ich schon eine Verbesserung erwartet.

Jedenfalls gehen die Entwicklungen schon mal in eine richtige Richtung und das Rom erhält von mir auf alle Fälle schon ein "Daumen hoch"...

...und ich restore nun wieder mein Stock-Rom mit all meinen Einstellungen.

Hallo, ich hoffe ihr könnt helfen.

Habe die Aktuelle X_Note und letztens ein Backup gemacht und nun habe ich das Backup zurück gespielt, alles funktioniert wie immer nur er nimmt den Fingerabdruck nicht nur die Sicherheitspin. Will ich aber den Fingerabdruck ändern, dann nimmt verweigert er die Pin obwohl er sie beim Endsperren ja akzeptiert. Weiss nicht mehr weiter.

Habe ein nagelneues Note 4. Ist der Ablauf der gleiche wie zu Note 3 Zeiten? Rooten, dann TWRP drauf und dann flashen?

ja der Ablauf ist gleich, natürlich mit anderen Files, TWRPs, Rootdateien usw.

Im ersten Post ist zusätzlich noch eine Anleitung.

EFS und auch normales Backup nicht vergessen.

Das werde ich auf jeden Fall! Vielleicht gibt's auch noch Fragen, aber ich denke, das wird glatt durch laufen. Eine Frage habe ich aber schon:

Der Reaktivierungsschutz, der ja zum Flashen deaktiviert werden muss, muss der nur für das Flashen mit Odin deaktiviert sein, oder auch generell für's Flashen über CWM/TWRP?

Wenn alle Flashvorgänge abgeschlossen sind, kann ich den Reaktivierungsschutz aber wieder dauerhaft aktivieren, oder?

Ich bin mir nicht sicher, würde es aber auf jeden fall deaktivieren.

Kannst den Schutz ja gleich nach dem flashen wieder rein machen.

und wenn ich bereits NK4 drauf habe kann ioch doch punkt 8 & 9 ignorieren oder? k kommt ja nach j....

Ja, du brauchst Rootrechte ein custom recovery. Ich empfehle TWRP.

Danach lädst du dir das Rom in der NK4 Version herunter und legst es auf dem Note 4 im Speicher ab.

Nun bootest du ins recovery und wählst zuerst "wipe" und danach "install"

Jetzt kannst du den Pfad zum Rom folgen und wenn du beim Rom angelangt bist kannst du es flashen.

Dauert so ca 2 Minuten. Wenn der Flashvorgang beendet ist, dann klicke auf System starten. fertig (der 1. Start kann etwas länger dauern)
