[ROM][4.0.4] Slim ICS (SGS2) - Clean, Simple & Fast (Base ~44MB + Essentials ~25 MB )

HUGE THANKS TO TEAM HACKSUNG/CM FOR THEIR AWESOME WORK TO GET ICS ON SGS2.

Thanks a ton to Rodrigo, who was willing and patient in testing my multiple builds and thanks to koud for some helpful tips and hints.

NOTE: No Bug Reporting if what you are using is not 100% stock SLIM please.

IMPORTANT:: If you are going to report issues, Read the first 3 posts first and put a note in your post saying you did, then produce a logcat ( adb logcat > filename.txt). Failing to do so, your post will be ignored.

Built fully from AOSP 4.0.3 sources, with device folder and kernel from Team Hacksung

Highlights:

5 Languages ( en ( us, uk), fr, it, de, es) No additional language will be added.

Zeam Launcher ( stock ICS launcher provided in addon package)

Basic Google Stuff Included ( 4.0.4 Gmail,Talk, Calendar and Contacts sync)

182 DPI ( use 240 for any incompatible apps or check here for market workaround)

Disclaimer: The usual stuff, Flash at your own risk. I am not responsible if you brick your device, burn your device etc. This ROM might be most suitable for experienced users but everybody is welcome to use it.

Center Clock and other customizable clock feature added, I can live with the extra 3 kb it added [:P] , now don't be greedy, circle mod is not coming ever, too many pngs that add bloat [;)]

Quiet Hours Phone ringing fixed for all phones ( Galaxy nexus never had this issue in 3.9)

Data toggle fixed based on this

Decrease custom lockscreen icon size based on this

Remove Reboot requirement on IME switcher based on this.

SmstoMMS threshold increased from 4 to 15.

BootAnimation by _Garry_, thanks _Garry_ ( I am open to light weight bootanimations ( < 100 kb) by users but lets not get into a discussion about boot animation, its just a cosmetic thing, users want to get involved i am happy to involve them)

Synced upto myfluxi's sources as of June 6 2012

Trimmed the essentials down 7 MB by removing some duplicates - Thanks AvRS.

Slim ICS 3.2

Fixed 2G and LTE toggle ( Turn data off, turn 2g on, turn data on, 2g will work. turn data off, turn 2g off, turn data on, to be back on 3g)

Fixed Dialpad Settings FC ( Enable landscape mode here)

All nav bar buttons are visible now

Updated DSP Manager and Media Provider from CM9

Updated Multi DPi market ( use OrigMarket_T9Dialer.zip file for T9 and Orig PlayStore)

Android 4.0.4 release.

Video Recording doens't work yet, haven't put in the patch, Will do in a day or so, release a patch then

Face book Sync

Nav Bar via ASS, turned off by default , turn it on via ASS( search and memu vritual keys are not transparent, other 3 are)

Calendar ( text ) in lockscreen, turned off by default again, turn it on via ASS.

Kernel Tweaks via ASS - thanks to AOKP for source - Don't enable fast charge in boot, if you do, it will cut off the data connection to pc.

Base and Essentials pretty much remain the same size

Big boost in benchmark performance via secret sauce

I can't remember what else, have to download 4.0.4 now.

Known Issues with 3.0

Lockscreen wallpaper doesn't work - original source issue

Lockscreen weather doesn't, just pull down notification bar

Search and Menu buttons are not transparent in Nav Bar

Installation Instructions:

  • ( Only applicable from next build on for to be Slim Users)
  • A simple wipe cache/dalvik cache and install this should be it. If you want clean install, wipe data, format system, and cache, then install.

OR

RECOMMENDED OPTION FOR NEW USERS

  • These steps should work for anybody who has Sammy GB ROM on the phone with CWM recovery
  • Flash CM9 build, then mine ( if you are on another AOSP ICS ROM, this shouldn't bee needed, just wipe cache/dalvik)
  • Reboot to recovery or if it bootloops, pull battery, enter CWM
  • wipe data, format system ( if bootloops)Flash base + essentials
  • reboot to system, if you see black home screen, press soft menu, preferences, customize Zeam Launcher.

if modem is not recognized ( Unknown Baseband), please flash the one of your local modems

Hallo,

habe getestet, aber trotz Anleitung könte ich keine Apps von Market runterladen- egal ob Pay oder nicht- hat jemmnad vielleicht 'ne Lösung gefunden?!

Ich würde die ROM gerne weiter Testen, aber jetzt weiss ich nicht weiter :o)

Also back to FOil 1.4 ...

Lach..du bist ja hier der Kampfflasher *fg...wenn dir da nchts einfällt..wirds schwer mit ner Lösung....mal sehen wenn es nen Up- oder Fix gibt

Beste Rom meines erachtens nach...kaum was vorinstalliert und das was drauf ist brauch ich alle :-D läuft super ist komplett deutsch. DPI Mod finde ich so entklasse... habe mir nur noch APex installiert und bin bis jetzt wunschlos glücklich :-)

Aktuelle Version ist im Moment 4.0 gibts auf der Homepage ...

Für alle die es interessiert, es gibt von der Slimrom auch eine JB-Version, die nennt sich passenderweise SlimBean.

Ich selber benutze gerne eine Slimrom, damit mein Handy nicht unnötig vollgemüllt ist :)

Allerdings benutze ich einen anderen Launcher, den HoloLauncher mag ich irgendwie garnicht. Apex find ich viel besser ;)

Leider habe ich mit der Rom das Problem das mein Handy dauernd nach der Pin fragt, weswegen mir natürlich auch Anrufe, SMS usw. entgehen.

Woran das liegt habe ich bisher noch nicht heraus gefunden, eventuell ist auch meine Sim einfach kaputt.

Ansonsten ist die Rom wirklich spitze :)

Installiere mal den letzten Siyah-Kernel, dann sollten Deine andauernden Pin-Abfragen Geschichte sein.
