CarbonRom is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. Erstmal Danke Schmiddi :thumbup::thumbup: das du den Thread erstellt hast.

Ich nutze die Rom seit ein paar Tagen und habe sie dann auch Schmiddi empfohlen und wir beide sind begeistert.

Warum bin ich hier her gewechselt??

Ganz einfach bei der Dragon Rom, gab es Probleme mit der Installation von Apps und Probleme mit Titanium Backup.

Bei dieser Rom sind die Probleme nicht vorhanden. :thumbup::thumbup:

Am Anfang hatte ich die Stable Version drauf von dieser Rom, sie lief echt smooth in Verbindung mit dem Stock Kernel. Konnte auch keine Fehler feststellen, außer das das Wetter auf dem Lockscreen nicht ging. Aber es störte mich am Anfang nicht

Aber heute früh doch und somit habe ich die letzte Nightlie von gestern geflasht, aber nur mit Cache und Dalvik Wipe und Backup vorher.

So Nightlie geflasht und was sehe ich Lockscreen Wetter geht :thumbup::thumbup: und Rom läuft jetzt noch ein Tick runder.

So ein kleiner Eindruck.

Stock Kernel?

Am Anfang habe ich bei den meisten Rom´s solche Ergebnisse, nach 2 Wochen Nutzung sieht das dann schon wieder ganz anders aus, denke mal durch Datenmüll usw was sich ansammelt.

Gibt´s irgendwas besonderes, was die Rom von den anderen (zB Slim oder JellyBam) unterscheidet?

Hey,

also ich muss sagen, diese Probleme mit Apps etc wie bei der Dragon hat man hier nicht. Desweiteren überzeugt mich die Geschwindigkeit. Ich habe diesen Benchmark gemacht, nachdem ich alle Apps installiert habe. Habe ca. 160 Apps auf dem Handy^^ und habe solch ein Ergebnis erzielen können. Das ist nicht schlecht.

Updates etc. kommen von den dev´s regelmäßig.

Kann sie wirklich jedem zum Testen ans Herz legen.

Edit: Kamera funktioniert bei keiner Cm10.1. Musst ne Alternative nehmen;). Z.b Camera-Fv5.

naja das alles funktioniert, sehe ich sowieso als selbstverständlich.

Soll auf keinen Fall jetzt unverschämt klingen, meine damit nur, dass für mich persönlich keine Rom wie zB die Dragon in Frage kommt, bei der wichtige Dinge nicht funktionieren.

Kamera habe ich zwar eine Alternative installiert, bisher aber leider nix gefunden, wo auch eine Videofunktion vorhanden ist.

@Schmiddi: das mache ich genaus, also erst wenn die Apps drauf sind, wie gesagt einfach mal in 1-2Wochen nochmal machen

aber genug erzählt, werde die Rom die Tage bestimmt mal testen

Manchmal einfach das Handy zwischendurch neu starten, macht Schonmal was aus.

Dann Cache usw löschen. Das macht viel aus.

Gute App dafür ist Sd Maid.

muss ich vor der Nightly erst die Carbon Official flashen oder gehts auch

ohne Official?

Aber nach dem Motto Sicher ist sicher mach dem Flash der Stable Version ein Backup und dann die Nightly flashen.

Weil jedes S3 ist anderst und somit reagiert jede Rom/Nightly anderst.
